Lenovo Launches Four Smartphones Including 4G LTE Vibe Z Ahead of CES 2014

Last year surprise package was none other than Lenovo, an emerging handset manufacturer, which officially knocked off LG to become the third most popular smartphone vendor in the world.

To further solidify its dominant position in the Asian market, Lenovo recently announced the arrival of four new Android-powered handsets in the international market ahead of CES 2014.

Out of all four handsets announced, Lenovo's Vibe Z is being hailed as a competitor to Samsung Galaxy Note 3. It's Lenovo's first 4G LTE phone, and also there are chances to see the device to get launched in major territories around the globe.

Lenovo Launches Four Smartphones Including 4G LTE Vibe Z Ahead of CES

While the Lenovo S930, a monster 6-inch 720p HD phone, will surely give tough competition to Huawei's upcoming Ascend Mate 2. The other two handsets: Lenovo S650 and A895, meant to be mid range Android-based phones.

The party isn't over yet, Lenovo says that the Vibe Z will soon to be made available in February in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and the Philippines. The phone will cost users $549 or approximately 34,233 in Indian Rupees.

Further, the Lenovo S930, S650 and A896 will be made immediately in countries where Lenovo smartphones are sold.

So, expect all three handsets to be announced soon in India with affordable price tags.

The Lenovo S930, S650 and A896 start at $319 (Rs.19,891), $229 (Rs.14,279) , and A859 $ 219 (Rs.13,659) , respectively.

Last month Lenovo launched the Vibe X in the Indian market. Priced at Rs.25,999, the Vibe X is a mid-range Android-based phone aimed to crush Samsung's soon to be announced Galaxy Grand 2 in the highly competitive Indian handset market.

Here comes another high-end Android handset from a brand which is yet to make big in the western market. Meet Lenovo Vibe Z: a 5.5-inch FHD smartphone featuring Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood.

Also, it is the first phone from Lenovo with 4G LTE connectivity. The phone is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core processor Snapdragon 800 SoC, backed by 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

The device also has a 13-megapixel rear-facing shooter featuring f/1.8 aperture, making the camera decent enough to deliver awesome images on every possible occasion. The front-facing camera, a 5-megapixel shooter, comes with the wide-angle lens. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. Other connectivity features include: 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0

The big daddy is here; Lenovo S930 is a 6-inch giant phablet device announced ahead of CES 2014. Made out of polycarbonate plastic, the S960 features a 6-inch display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, you'll notice a 1.3GHz quad-core processor powered by MediaTek MT6582, coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. For shooting memorable moments, the phone incorporates an 8-megpixel shooter with Auto Focus and an LED Flash, while a 1.8MP camera should be apt for taking selfies. The makers have added a 3,000mAh battery fitted inside. Other connectivity options include: Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Bluetooth 3.0, Dual SIM, Wi-Fi, FM Radio and GPS.

Aside from the Vibe Z and S930, the company also announced a budget centric, 4.7-inch Lenovo S650. The specs sheet include: 4.7-inch qHD display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory with expandable storage, Dual SIM, 8MP rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash, front facing camera and a 2,000mAh battery.

Priced at just $219, Lenovo has launched a serious competitor to the Motorola Moto G. The Lenovo A859 features a 5-inch 720p HD display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory with expandable storage, , 8MP rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash, front facing shooter and a 2,2500mAh battery. The phone does come with dual SIM feature.
