Indian giant mobile phone manufacturer Micromax has already come to the highlight with its latest handset Canvas 4 which comes with air gesture control. But the domestic maker does not cease to impress the fans yet because recently its newer handset called Bling 3 A86 has evidently been listed on one of the online retails Flipkart under the banner of "Coming Soon".
Just a day ago another Indian manufacturer Karbonn launched their latest midrange handset called Karbonn A29 at Rs. 8,990. However, the price of the Micromax Bling 3 A86 has not been mentioned so far but eBay is currently selling the handset at Rs. 9,999. Thus it is evident, that both the handsets fall in the same price range. Thus looking at the two domestic rival mobile makers and their recent handsets, Gizbot decided to come up with the comparative analysis between the two handsets.
Thus without haste and delay, lets have a spec to spec rundown on both the handsets:
Micromax Bling 3 A86 sports a 4-inch capacitive touch screen display while the Karbonn A29 features a larger 4.7 inch IPS LCD display offering 960 x 540 pixels resolution. Although there is no more information on the Bling's display, the handset may suffer in the market that is following the phablets more. And Karbonn has a larger display aswell.
OS, Processor and RAM
Micromax Bling 3 A86 runs on Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) Operating System with 1 GHz Dual Core processor and 512 MB RAM while the Karbonn A29 handset is powered by a bit higher dual core processor clocked to 1.2GHz . The A29 features a similar Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) and 512 MB RAM.
However, it is clear that Karbonn A29 has a better processor.
Micromax Bling 3 A86 is stuffed with a 5 MP rear camera with auto focus and LED Flash and also features a 0.3 MP front facing camera. On the other hand, Karbonn A29 comes packed with a better 8 megapixel rear camera accompanied by auto focus and LED flash while at the front face of the phone, there is a 2MP camera as well.
Even in camera aspect, Karbonn A29 takes the upper hand.
Beside being a dual SIM handset, Micromax Bling 3 A86 comes with a several other connectivity options like 2G, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, SPEED, WLAN, Bluetooth and microUSB.
Looking at the Karbonn A29, connectivity options include, GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WiFi, USB and Bluetooth. It also comes with a dual SIM support.
Storage and Battery
So far, there is no information on the internal storage capacity of the Micromax Bling 3 A86 but, it is said that the storage capacity can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card. The device is powered by a 1600 mAh battery with up to 4 hours talk time.
The other handset, Karbonn A29 comes with a 4 GB internal storage capacity that can be enhanced up to same 32 GB via microSD card. But the handset is powered by a better 2000 mAh battery.
Although there is no confirmation on the price of the Micromax Bling 3 A86 but since it is already being sold at Rs. 9,999 on ebay, it is very much likely to come at the same price or lesser. Even if it does come at the same cost it is not worth a buy as it is evident that better features are being offered by Karbonn A29 and comes cheaper as well. Micromax Bling 3 A86 could be expensive because of the Swarovski Zirconia crystals encrusted in it making it a premium smartphone.
Moreover, successor to the Micromax first Bling which came back in 2010 and Bling 2 A55 in 2011, the third Bling may have a better impact provided it cuts down its price. However, Gizbot will keep you in loop regarding the Bling 3's official launch soon.
