Micromax Canvas 4: Hands on Review
Processor, RAM and Battery
The Canvas 4 A210 packs MediaTek (MT6589) powered quad-core ARMv7 processor. User like to put question in front Indian tech vendors - why MediaTek is so popular in the mid-end devices. Well, the answer could be decent performance. In our 15 days of operation, we didn't witness a single lag. What can you expect?
We tried to squeeze Canvas 4 by playing Asphalt 7. Frankly speaking, the phone performed just normal. To check the multi-tasking power, we kept on running on 5-6 apps at the same time. The device RAM stands at 1GB, which should be expected at this point of time. Micromax would have been chosen 2GB of RAM. Anyways, even 1GB RAM blends well with MT 6589 chipset. What to say more about Canvas 4 A210 performance?
The Canvas 4 supports expandable internal memory up to 32GB via microSD card. The phone storage stands at 2.46GB, while internal storage stands at 10.02GB.
It is understandable to know how eager our readers are to know Canvas 4 battery life. Finally, we have the answer. Based on our testing, GizBot has come with an answer that Canvas 4 can run up to 8-9 hours on normal usage with 2G data enabled. If you switch off 2G data, then you should get getting anywhere between 14 - 17 hours of talk time. Even though, the makers have fitted a 2000mAh Li Ion battery.
GizBot tested Canvas 4 based on certain benchmark results. Have a look!

OS and Gesture based features
We have seen smartphones with bizarre user interface (UI) and over the top loud features. The folks over at Micromax went ahead with Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. It's the latest running version of Google's Android, however, it is to be seen when Micromax rolls out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Anyways, as of now you will notice Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. The UI is clean and gives you almost stock Android like experience.
