In the coming days to come, India-based tech vendor and the makers behind Canvas 4 will likely to announce Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 killer. Don't be surprised to know that Micromax is coming up with Canvas Doodle 2. The successor to original Canvas Doodle is indeed real, if one look at the leaked picture flashed by Twitter sensation @MMXNewscaster.

The supposed Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 is seen next to Canvas 4. The Canvas Doodle 2 display size should be around 5.7-inches or even bigger. The tweet posted by @MMXNewscaster tells "Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 posed alongside Canvas 4. Boasts massive display ". So yes, it would be right to say that Canvas Doodle 2 certainly exists with extra large display.

On August 16, GizBot informed our readers that Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 would boasts of large display. We also said that Canvas Doodle 2 will be targeted at Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8.

As per our estimates, the Canvas Doodle 2 to be priced somewhere around Rs. 15,000. When Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 is retailing for Rs. 22,990 (via Flipkart), it definitely makes sense to offer Canvas Doodle 2 under Rs. 17,000.

Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 - Rumored Specifications

The Canvas Doodle 2 is coming soon with a large display. What about the internal specifications? The phone will have a 5.7-inch display with 720p HD display, Quad-core processor (MediaTek) chip supported clocking at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory ( expandable up to 32GB via microSD card), an 8-mega pixel rear facing camera with Auto Focus, LED Flash light, and 1080p Full HD video recording facility and 2-mega pixel front facing camera , Dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS, among others.

There is a chance to see 3,300mAh Li Ion battery fitted inside. The handset will be powered by Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. As usual, the device will be made of plastic. Also add free stylus bundled with every purchase of Canvas Doodle 2. The device should be announced in the last week of August 2013.
