Micromax Canvas Ego A113 Launched at Rs 12,999: 5 Strong Rivals and Competitors
Micromax has strengthened its domination in the Indian Smartphone market by launching another device, the Canvas Ego A113 at Rs. 12,999. The device is already available on Snapdeal. Easily the country's most popular domestic mobile phone manufacturer, Micromax has also recently launched couple of devices like Canvas Fun A74 and A76 in their Fun series at Rs. 7,749 and Rs. 8,499 respectively. However, this time, the price point has increased slightly.
Have a look at the specs of the newly launched Micromax Canvas Ego A113:
The handset comes with a 4.7-inch Capacitive Touch Screen display with WVGA resolution. Canvas Ego A113 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and it is also supported by 1GB RAM. The Micromax Canvas Ego runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
To talk about the storage capacity, it houses 4GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD card.
Moving on to the imaging quality, the Canvas Ego A113 comes packed with 8-megapixel rear camera which is also accompanied by a LED flash. When it comes to the front facing shooter, there is no information but the visible sensor at the front could definitely mean a VGA camera.
Certainly, it is a dual-SIM phone with support for GSM+GSM which includes connectivity options like 3G, GPRS, Bluetooth and WiFi.
The 4.7 inch smartphone is powered by a 2000mAh battery.
Looking at the recent smartphone market where uncountable number of devices are battling to make themselves popular, the recently launched mid range handset, Canvas Ego A113 will have to face a tough competition against devices like Lava Iris 504Q, Xolo A1000, Intex Aqua Wonder Quad Core, Alcatel Idol OT6030a and Karbonn S5 Titanium.

Lava Iris 504Q
Lava Iris 504q is a dual SIM, GSM + GSM, (Dual Standby) smartphone with a 5 inch IPS screen with OGS display technology and a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The phablet is powered by a quad core processor clocked to 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM and runs on the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. The Lava Iris 504q comes with a 8MP rear camera with auto-focus, LED flash and BSI sensor along with 2 Megapixel front facing camera. Also, Lava Iris 504q comes with an internal storage capacity of 4 GB, which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD and a powerful Li-Polymer, 2000 mAh battery. The handset is currently priced at Rs. 13799.
Xolo A1000
Priced at Rs. 12999, Xolo A1000 packs a 5 inch HD IPS OGC capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The handset is equipped with an 1GHz dual core processor for fast user interface and smooth performance and is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. Xolo A1000 has an 8MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front camera, both with BSI sensor technology for better low light photography. The handset comes with 4GB internal storage, 1GB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable storage support. In the connectivity front, it comes loaded with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and micro USB 2.0. Xolo A1000 is a powered by a 2,100 mAh battery.
Intex Aqua Wonder Quad Core
Aqua Wonder Quad Core will come boasting a 4.5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, quad core processor, 8MP rear camera with autofocus and dual LED flash, 2MP front camera, 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and 1,800 mAh battery. The handset is available at Rs. 10445 on online retail.
Alcatel Idol OT6030a
Priced at Rs. 13,454, Alcatel Idol OT6030a comes with the 4.66 inch LCD Capacitive Touchscreen display offering a qHD resolution of 540 x 960 Pixels. The handset runs on Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1 GHz Dual Core Processor coupled with 512 MB RAM. Other features include: 8 MP Primary Camera, 2 MP Secondary Camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, GPRS, EDGE, 4 GB internal storage capacity expandable storage capacity of 32 GB and Li-Ion, 1800 mAh.
Karbonn S5 Titanium
Titanium S5 boasts a 5 inch qHD multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, 1.2GHz quad core processor, 1GB RAM, micro SD card slot, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth and a 2,000 mAh battery. As of now, there is no word on the internal storage support, but it is expected to be around 4GB as in other budget phablets. The handset is available on Flipkart at Rs. 9999.
Micromax Canvas Ego A113 Launched at Rs 12,999: 5 Strong Rivals and Competitors
After having a look at the specs of all the rival devices, one can easily say that Lava Iris 504Q is one of the best among all. However all smartphones come with the very similar specs with just a bit of difference on the RAM and Processor. But most of the devices come with the quad core CPU but there are differences as well in the display. Thus looking from the perspective of the specs, Lava Iris 504Q, Karbonn S5 Titanium and Intex Aqua Wonder Quad Core are the best. However, price wise one Karbonn S5 Titanium or Micromax Canvas Ego A113 which would also be fair choice.
