Motorola Moto G (2014) Full Review: Processor and Benchmark
The hardware that you get inside for the new Moto G is pretty decent as well. Just like the original Moto G, the 2014 edition uses a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 CPU with 1GB RAM.
Like the 2013 Moto G, the new model is still available in 8GB and 16GB versions. But this time around, it also offers a microSD slot which takes cards of up to 32GB.
While we have heard a lot of people complaining as to why Motorola didn't opt for a bigger microSD support, we think a 32GB one will work just fine.
However, just like the original, the handset's performance is great. Sure there's no real upgrade from the original handset, but it sure isn't a downgrade. And that's what actually matters.
The handset also launches with a different interface compared to what the first Moto G had. The new model uses the Google Now launcher.
Striking a comparison with the earlier model, with its hardware inside, expect the handset to run most of the apps and games that you will find in the Google Play store.
Sure you won't be able to run all the high-end graphics games as smoothly as you like, but you should know that since that is what you signed up for when you purchased it.
