Alleged Xiaomi Mi 6X images leak showing 18:9 display and dual cameras

The Xiaomi Mi 6X is surfacing in rumors and speculations lately. From the existing reports, it is believed that the smartphone will succeed the Mi 5X and might make use of a full-screen design with 18:9 aspect ratio display. The device is also believed to feature a dual camera setup with the two lenses positioned vertically. One of the recently leaked photos also showed the leaked rear panel of the smartphone with such a camera setup.

Now, a Twitter-based tipster has revealed some new images that appear to be those of the Xiaomi Mi 6X. These images make use believe that some of the features revealed by recent leaks might come to reality. Given that the Mi 5X is almost eight months old, the increase in the number leaks related to the Mi 6X tips that the device might be launched in the coming months.

Slim bezels

One of the leaked images of the Xiaomi Mi 6X shows that the smartphone might arrive with slimmer bezels at the top, sides and bottom in comparison to those of the Mi 5X. This is evident as the smartphone is speculated to feature a full-screen design and 18:9 aspect ratio display. The display is likely to measure 5.7 or 5.9 inches and pack FHD+ 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution.

Unibody metal design

Another leaked image shows that the rear panel of the Mi 6X will have a metal unibody design with matte finish. There appears to be a fingerprint sensor at the rear and the vertically stacked dual camera setup as well. The LED flash appears to be positioned between the two camera sensors.

Top features of Honor 7X

Besides these, a previously leaked image of the alleged Mi 6X clad in a transparent case. This image sows that the smartphone might arrive with an external speaker, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack too. There appears to be an IR blaster at the top as well. At the right, there appears to be a volume buttons and Power key.

Going by the recent reports regarding Xiaomi Surge S2 chipset that might be launched at the MWC 2018 tech show in February, there are speculations that this chipset will power the Xiaomi Mi 6X that might be launched as Mi A2 outside of China.
