Amazon Microsite Hints at Redmi 12C Pricing in India
Just days after Redmi announced the launch date of the Redmi 12C in India, the microsite on Amazon has dropped hints regarding the smartphone's pricing in India.
For the uninitiated, the Redmi 12C is set to launch in India on March 30. The smartphone was announced for global markets earlier this month and launched in China last year. Let's take a look at all the details regarding the smartphone.

Redmi 12C Price and Availability
The Amazon microsite suggests the smartphone will be a budget smartphone in the sub-10k category. The microsite is quite explicit in its suggestion as it says that the Redmi 12C will have "the biggest display in the segment" and "the fastest smartphone in the segment" with a footnote that says that the segment refers to "smartphones launched in 2023 under 10K".
As for the smartphone's availability, it is evident from the microsite that the Redmi 12C will be available for purchase on Amazon from March 30 onwards.
The microsite also shows the smartphone in four color options - black, blue, sea green, and lavender. The smartphone was launched in China in similar colors, Shadow Black, Sea Blue, Mint Green, and Lavender.
In China, the smartphone is available in three variants of 4/6GB RAM and 64/128 GB of internal storage space. The base variant with 4GB RAM and 64 GB storage space is priced at CNY 699 (approximately ₹8,400), and the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage variant comes at CNY 799 (roughly ₹9,600). The top-end variant with 6GB RAM with 128 GB storage space comes for CNY 899 (approximately ₹10,800).

Redmi 12C Specifications and Features
The Redmi 12C comes with a 6.71-inch LCD HD+ display that has a resolution of 1650x720 pixels. The company claims that the Redmi 12C has the largest display in the sub-10k category of smartphones launched this year.
Under the hood, the smartphone features an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and an LPDDR4X RAM. It will have up to 11GB of extended RAM, which includes 5GB of virtual RAM.
The smartphone runs on MIUI 13, based on Android 12. As per Redmi, the smartphone will receive two years of Android updates and three years of security updates.
For the camera, the Redmi 12C packs an AI-powered dual camera with a 50MP main camera and a secondary QVGA sensor to capture depth. At the front, housed in a water-drop notch, is a 5MP camera for selfies.
The handset features a 5.000mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging.
