Android 13 Based ColorOS 13 Coming to These Smartphones in March

Oppo has announced a list of eligible smartphones that will receive the new ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 via an update. The update will roll out in March. Few smartphones will get an earlier look at ColorOS 13 in the form of a public beta this month.

ColorOS 13, based on the current version of Android, was announced by Oppo back in August. Six months later, the smartphone brand continues to roll out the custom OS to more smartphones.

This list includes a few smartphones that will receive a beta version of ColorOS 13 before a broader rollout.

ColorOS 13 is the brand's annual refresh of its custom skin and is based on the current version of Android. The custom operating system brings new features such as a smarter always-on display, multi-screen connect, and more.

The global variant of the operating system incorporates key features of Android 13 while introducing a new design language called Aquamorphic design, which includes a new theme palette and system fonts. It also adopts Android 13's card-style layout and new animations.

That apart, ColoroS 13 introduces Dynamic Computing Engine, a system-level solution to deliver a smooth and stable system, increased battery life, and the ability to keep more apps open in the background. It's essentially an improved scheduler for hardware resources that balances performance and power efficiency.

Among these, the Reno 6, Reno 5, and Reno 5 Marvel Edition will receive the beta versions of the ongoing update, while the Oppo A55 will receive the beta from March 1 and the A53s from March 3.

As for the official version, the rollout to the above-mentioned smartphones is already under process. The Reno 5 F and the F19 Pro will get the official version.
