Apple Could Introduce Massive Price Hike for iPhone 15: Report
The latest iPhone 15 leak suggests that the smartphone series will see an average selling price of $925. That's $100 higher than the average sales price of new iPhones in the past year.
Apple's upcoming range of smartphones is expected to come with a host of upgrades like a USB Type-C port and a periscope camera (reserved for the Pro model). Wall Street analyst Dan Ives claims that the new iPhone 15 series will convince existing users to upgrade their smartphones.

iPhone 15 Price Hike Expected
According to a Business Insider report, citing Ives, there are nearly 250 million iPhones that haven't been upgraded in "at least four years." The analyst predicts that many customers will switch over to the iPhone 15 despite the massive price rise.
Ives claims that the iPhone 15's average selling price could be $925. To put the price into perspective, the iPhone 14 Pro Max price starts at $1099, while the iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999. Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 with 128GB internal storage costs $799.
This isn't the first time a price hike has been predicted. Some report that the price of the vanilla iPhone 15 could increase by 12 percent. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro could get 20 percent more expensive. The price hike could be attributed to TSMC's rising production costs.
Ives also shared his opinion on the Apple Vision Pro, stating that the device will help uplift its internet-based services like Apple TV+, iCloud, App Store, and Apple Music. The analyst adds that Apple Services will see a double-digit expansion, and will likely grow to $100 billion.
iPhone 15 Rumored Features
The upcoming iPhone 15 lineup will reportedly feature significant hardware upgrades over its predecessors. The iPhone 15 series is rumored to include the basic iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Max, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
All four iPhone 15 models will feature a USB Type-C port and a Dynamic Island. According to rumors, the Pro models will get USB 3.2 speeds, while the vanilla iPhone 15 will support USB 2.0 speeds.
