Apple 14 series is about a year old, and Apple is yet to officially announce the launch date for the Apple iPhone 15 series. It appears Apple has indirectly hinted at the launch of the latest iOS smartphones.

Apple iPhone 15 series iOS smartphones have been appearing in numerous leaks and rumors. However, Apple Inc. has been withholding the launch date, until today. Let's see when the premium iOS smartphones could launch, and what they will offer.

Apple iPhone 15 Launch Date Hinted: Here’s What We Know

Apple iPhone 15 Series iOS Smartphones To Launch Next Month On September 13?

Apple strictly adheres to specific timelines when it comes to product launches. The first iOS smartphone in the Apple iPhone 14 series launched on September 16, 2022, with the iPhone 14 Plus making its debut on October 7, 2022. Pre-orders for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus began a week prior to the launch, on September 9, 2022.

It appears Apple Inc. has indicated to mobile service providers that it will launch the first iOS smartphone, in the Apple iPhone 15 series, on September 13, 2023, which falls on a Wednesday.

Some reports suggest mobile carriers have been notifying employees not to take days off on September 13, as there will be a "major smartphone announcement". Although this doesn't officially confirm Apple Inc. will launch the entry-level iPhone 15 on that date, it significantly increases the probability.

Even before launching the entry-level Apple iPhone 14 on September 16, 2022, the pre-orders for the iOS smartphone had begun on September 9. In the case of the iPhone 15, pre-orders may begin on Friday, September 15, 2023, with the official launch a week later on September 22, 2023.

Apple iPhone 15 Series Smartphones Expected Specifications, Features

A lot has been written about the upcoming Apple iPhone 15 series smartphones. The most significant change in these iOS devices is the presence of a USB Type-C port, which would offer charging, data transfer, and wired audio output.

All previous Apple iPhone models featured the proprietary "Lightning" port, which was fast, but forced iPhone users to use the Lightning cable. Moving forward, from iPhone 15 onwards, users could plug in any USB-C cable to top up the iPhone's battery, significantly reducing cable clutter and e-waste.

The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus should be powered by the A16 Bionic chip, currently powering the iPhone 14 Pro. The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max should pack the new A17 chip.

Apple is also expected to pack some of the biggest-ever batteries found in any iOS smartphone to date. With iOS battery optimizations, buyers can expect impressive screen-on times of the iPhone 15 series devices.
