iPhone 17 Pro Series Could Bring DSLR-Level Video Recording to Smartphones

Apple appears to be making a big push toward professional video recording with the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is looking to position its Pro lineup as the go-to device for vloggers and content creators, aiming to bridge the gap between smartphones and traditional cameras.

While video recording enhancements seem to be the primary focus, Apple is also reportedly upgrading camera hardware across the board for the iPhone 17 Pro models.

Rumored Camera Upgrades:

• 48-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, a notable jump from the 12-megapixel lens found in the iPhone 16 Pro.
• 24-megapixel selfie camera, potentially replacing the 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera, which would significantly improve front-facing video and photography quality.

These upgrades suggest Apple is looking to enhance image clarity, zoom capabilities, and overall video performance, making the iPhone 17 Pro a more appealing tool for professionals and content creators.
