ASUS ROG Phone 7 Live Images Suggest Internal Hardware Prioritized Over Cosmetic Upgrades

ASUS is ready with the next generation of the ASUS ROG Phone 7 and will likely unveil the device next month. Ahead of the launch, a few live images of the premium Android smartphone have leaked online.

ASUS is likely to launch multiple smartphones under the ROG Phone 7 series. The series could comprise the ROG Phone 7, ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, and ROG Phone 7D. ASUS so far refrained from confirming any details about the upcoming smartphones. However, a few details about the gaming phones leaked earlier. A new leak includes live images of the upcoming smartphone, ASUS ROG Phone 7.

ASUS ROG Phone 7 Confirm Design Is Similar To Previous Generation

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 will launch in the global market early next month. Ahead of the launch, a new set of live images have leaked online.

The leaked images of what appears to be the standard edition of the ASUS ROG Phone 7 strongly suggest the phone has an identical design to the previous generation, the ASUS ROG Phone 6. The device in the images has a white-colored back panel with some graphics. A cutout for dot-matrix lighting is also visible.

Like its previous generation, the ASUS ROG Phone 7 has thick bezels around the display. The smartphone has a front-facing camera located at the top-right.

The USB-C port and the 3.5mm headphone jack are at the bottom edge. The phone also has dual speakers, which are present at the top and bottom edges. The power and volume buttons are located on the right edge.

ASUS ROG Phone 7 Specifications, Features

ASUS is yet to provide details about the hardware embedded inside the ASUS ROG Phone 7. Hence most of the information has been collated from leaks and rumors about this premium gaming Android smartphone.

Previous reports have suggested that ASUS has embedded a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC inside the ASUS ROG Phone 7. The powerful chipset is tipped to be paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

As the leaked images indicate, the ASUS ROG Phone 7 is big. The phone is expected to feature a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate support. The display is rumored to support HDR10+ and has a 720Hz touch sampling rate.

ASUS may have embedded a 6000mAh battery inside the ASUS ROG Phone 7, which could support 65W wired fast charging. The ROG Phone 7 is tipped to feature a Sony IMX766 50MP main camera, which is coupled with a 13MP ultra-wide camera and 5MP macro sensors. There could be a 13MP front-facing camera.
