ASUS is said to be readying the next generation of its ROG Phone series for hardcore mobile gamers. One of the smartphones of this series recently surfaced on Geekbench.

ASUS ROG Phone 7 Global Variant Appears On Geekbench
ASUS is expected to launch its ROG Phone 7 series in and outside of China. The series is rumored to comprise the ROG Phone 7, ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, and ROG Phone 7D.
Although the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate remains a complete mystery at this point, the ROG Phone 7D and the ROG Phone 7 have surfaced online. However, it’s important to note that ASUS hasn't officially acknowledged the ROG Phone 7 series as yet.

As per previous reports, the Chinese variant of the ROG Phone 7 comes with the model number ASUS_AI2205_B. Meanwhile, the global version appears to have the model number ASUS_AI2205_A.
However, the model that surfaced on Geekbench bears the model number ASUS_AI2205_C. A few reports suggest that the ASUS_AI2205_C model could be for select markets outside of China.
According to the Geekbench listing, the premium gaming smartphone packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The listing reveals the chipset has four performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz and three efficiency cores clocked at 2.02GHz.
The single prime performance core in the SoC has a peak clock speed of 3.19GHz. The model being tested has 14.80GB or 16GB of RAM.
ASUS ROG Phone 7 Global Variant Is Better Than China-Only Model?
The ASUS_AI2205_C variant of the ROG Phone 7 scored 1958 and 5238 points on Geekbench. The ASUS_AI2205_B model scored 2022 and 5719 points in Geekbench's single-core and multi-core tests, respectively. These scores indicate that the variant of the ASUS ROG Phone 7 meant for China has slightly lower clock speeds.
Incidentally, the ASUS_AI2205_A model also surfaced on the 3C certification website. The listing reveals the ASUS ROG Phone 7 could support 65W wired fast charging.
The battery capacity of the upcoming Android smartphone remains a mystery at this point. However, the previous generation offered a 6000mAh battery, hence, ASUS might offer the same battery capacity or increase it a little to support the latest chipset from Qualcomm.
