ASUS ROG Phone 7 Visits Geekbench and 3C Certification Sites Ahead of Launch
According to a new report, two ASUS ROG Phone 7 handsets have visited Geekbench and 3C certification sites. The ROG Phone 7 series will likely arrive in the third quarter of 2023.
The brand's upcoming lineup of smartphones will succeed the ROG Phone 6 series, which debuted last year in global markets, including India. The ROG Phone 7 series will include the base ROG Phone 7 and the ROG Phone 7D, which recently surfaced on Geekbench bearing the model number AI2205_D.

As per reports, the Chinese variant of the ROG Phone 7 will bear the model number AI2205_B. Meanwhile, the global version will have the model number AI2205_A.
ASUS ROG Phone 7 on Geekbench and 3C Certification Site
The ASUS ROG Phone 7 with the model number AI2205_B arrived on the Geekbench database. According to the listing, spotted by MySmartPrice, the ROG Phone 7 will be equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
The processor listed on the database features a maximum clock speed of 3.19 GHz. According to Geekbench, the CPU's four performance cores clocked at 2.8GHz. Meanwhile, three efficiency cores had a frequency of 2.02GHz.
The handset with model number AI2205_B supports 16GB of RAM. The phone will boot Android 13 out of the box. The ROG Phone 7 bagged a score of 2022 in the single-core test. Meanwhile, the phone managed a score of 5719 on the multi-core test.
As for the 3C listing, the ASUS ROG Phone 7 was seen with support for 65W fast charging. According to the report, the phone with model number AI2205_A has 65W charging as well.
Past leaks suggest that the ASUS ROG Phone 7 series will be equipped with a flagship Snapdragon processor. It could be accompanied by 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. There's also talk about a ROG Phone 7 Ultimate model with 512GB storage.
The ROG Phone 7 series will likely sport an AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 165Hz. They could also pack a massive 6,000mAh battery. Other key specs are still under wraps.
