Asus Zenfone 4 to be launched in India on September 14

Asus Zenfone 4 series coming to India next week.

    Asus unveiled the Zenfone 4 series of smartphones in Taiwan in the last month. The lineup comprises of six smartphones appears to be all set to go official in India in the next week.

    Asus has started sending media invites for a launch event that is slated to happen in India on September 14. At the event, the company is believed to take the wraps off the Zenfone 4 smartphones in the country. However, we are yet to receive an official confirmation from Asus regarding the device that will be launched at the next week's event.

    Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie Series First Impression: Three selfie centric devices for every price segment

    When it comes to the Zenfone 4 series, the lineup comprises of six smartphones - the Zenfone 4, Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 Selfie, Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, Zenfone 4 Max and Zenfone 4 Max Pro. Of these smartphones, the Zenfone 4 and its Pro variant are flagship models. As the name suggests, the Zenfone 4 Selfie and its Pro variant are selfie-centric devices while the other two have a big battery.

    The Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Pro come with similar specs except for varying hardware aspects. The Zenfone 4 Pro makes use of a Snapdragon 835 SoC teamed up with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Zenfone 4 comes in two variants - Snapdragon 630 SoC and Snapdragon 660 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. In the photography department as well, the Zenfone 4 comes with dual camera lenses at its rear with 12MP and 8MP sensors. The Pro variant has 16MP and 12MP sensors at the rear. Both these smartphones have 3300mAh and 3600mAh batteries under their hood and an 8MP selfie camera.

    The Zenfone 4 Selfie and Selfie Pro are mid-range selfie-centric smartphones featuring a 20MP and a 24MP selfie cameras respectively with a wide-angle lens. The Zenfone 4 Max and Max Pro have a 5000mAh battery that can pump in a great backup to these smartphones.
