ASUS ZenFone Zoom slated for US release will first launch in India

    A few hours ago, ASUS said that ZenFone Zoom will be launched in the US. The highlight of the ZenFone Zoom is its camera. Now the company announced that the Smartphone will launch in India later in January. This India launch is slated to be much earlier than the US launch.

    The Asus Zenfone Zoom has a 5.5-inch 1080p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It has a 13MP rear camera with 3X optical zoom, Laser autofocus, optical image stabilization and dual-LED Real Tone Flash. It runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Zen UI and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has an aluminium uni-body frame and a leather back cover.

    The ZenFone Zoom is available in storage variants of 64GB and 128GB. However, there is expandable memory upto 128GB via microSD. The ZenFone Zoom has a 2.3Ghz quad-core Intel Atom Z350. While the 128 GB variant comes with 2.5Ghz quad-core Intel Atom Z3590 processor with PowerVR G6430 GPU. While the 64GB version is powered by a Quad Core Z3580, the 128GB version is powered by a Z3590 processor. Both the variants have a 4GB LPDDR3 RAM,

    Connectivity options include 4G LTE/ 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/g/g/n/c, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and NFC. The Asus ZenFone has a 3000mAh battery with ASUS Boostmaster fast charging. The ZenFone comes in dimensions of 158.9x78.84x5 while it weighs 185grams.

    The ZenFone Zoom runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. The ASUS Zenfone Zoom comes in Black and White colors and will be launched in India by the end of this month. Asus is yet to officially announce the dates on which these phones will launch.

    The ASUS ZenFone Zoom goes for $399 (or approximately Rs. 26510). The pricing and availability in India will be announced soon.
