BlackBerry's First Android Smartphone Is Now Official: Top 10 Features of Priv

    After much speculation and months of leaks and rumors, BlackBerry's first Android smartphone is finally got official announcements.

    The BlackBerry Priv is now officially available for purchase and is priced a $699, approx Rs. 45,500 and will begin to ship the device starting November 6.

    Before its official disclose, the BlackBerry has made a buzz by release its first official photos of the BlackBerry Priv, the company's first ever smartphone powered by Android platform. The official photos gives a clear visuals that it features with slide-out physical keyboard along with a curved touch display that somewhat similar to Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

    The BlackBerry Priv sports a 5.4 inch OLED QHD display with a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels along with curved edge screen on both sides.

    BlackBerry Priv: Processor

    It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core SoC which compressed with dual-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A57 and quad-core 1.44 GHz Cortex-A53 and has Adreno 418 GPU.

    BlackBerry Priv: RAM

    The 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset is paired with 3GB of RAM.

    BlackBerry Priv: Storage

    The smartphone comes with 32GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card up to 200GB.

    BlackBerry Priv: Operating System

    This is the first ever BlackBerry ditched its very own BlackBerry OS, and came up with Android operating system. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

    BlackBerry Priv: Camera

    The BlackBerry Priv flaunts an 18 megapixel rear camera by Schneider-Kreuznach and features OIS and dual-tone LED flash. There is also a 2 megapixel front-facing camera.

    The biggest reason for an Android fan to consider the BlackBerry Priv is the keyboard. The smartphone comes with at touch-sensitive keyboard, that allows you to navigate through pages, apps screen and more.

    The smartphone comes with a 3410mAh battery, which the company claims can last for up to 22.5 hours during a mixed usage.

    The NFC-capable Priv supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, and other standard connectivity options.
