Exclusive: Bobble AI In Talks With Chinese Smartphone Players For Keyboard Integration
Bobble AI, a Gurugram-based startup, is in talks with Chinese smartphone players operating in India. The company's CEO and Founder, Ankit Prasad shared few details with Gizbot about the partnerships and its future strategies.
Prasad said, "We have recently announced our partnership with Xiaomi. But now we are in talks with all Chinese smartphone players (Realme, Oppo, and Vivo) for our keyboards." "We are also in talks with Indian smartphone," he added. However, he refused to give further details about the Indian brands when asked about the names.
Besides, the company is planning to expand its reach to other countries such as South East Asia and the Middle East. "We are operating in India and Indonesia, but soon we will expand our reach to South East Asia and the Middle East countries. "
Apart from that, the company is all set to add new languages to the keyboard. At present, Bobble is currently operating in 41 languages but now the company will be expanding to 77 languages globally by next month including - Japanese, Italian, Vietnamese, Serbian, and Russian.
The company is facing stiff competition with Gboard and Swiftkey, as a lot of smartphone companies are already using these keyboards. But still, Bobble seems hopeful that it will achieve an 80 percent market share in India. However, globally the company is eyeing a 45 percent market share over the next two years.
To recall, the company has also partnered with Xiaomi to develop 'Mint Keyboard' for Android smartphones. According to the company, the keyboard is specially designed for Indian users. Furthermore, it has 25+ Indian languages and users can type in their preferred language. Besides, the company is providing personalized themes on the keyboards using images from their gallery and using different fonts while typing.
