ColorOS 17 Based on Android 17 Launching on September 17 Alongside OPPO Find X10 Series: Check New Features

Oppo has officially scheduled the ColorOS 17 launch and Developer Conference for September 17, 2026, where the company is expected to unveil its Android 17-based operating system. The event is also tipped to serve as the launch platform for the Oppo Find X10 series, with the new smartphones expected to run ColorOS 17 out of the box.

ColorOS 17 Features and Performance Improvements

One of the biggest visual changes in ColorOS 17 is expected to be a new floating island navigation system. It will work across the system interface and most built-in applications, while retaining the smooth animation language introduced with ColorOS 16.

The new interface reportedly adds more dynamic feedback, with elements stretching, compressing and bouncing back in response to touch.

Oppo claims ColorOS 17 can deliver around 35% improved interface smoothness, approximately 20% faster cold app launches and a 50% increase in background app retention. These improvements are designed to make multitasking and everyday navigation more responsive.

ColorOS 17 Eligible Devices

ColorOS 17 is expected to expand to more than 130 models across Oppo, OnePlus and Realme. Closed beta testing reportedly began in August for select newer smartphones, giving some users an early look at the redesigned navigation and animations.

The wider rollout is expected to happen progressively following the September 17 announcement. Oppo is yet to provide a complete public list of devices and regional rollout dates.

Oppo Find X10 Series Expected Specifications

The Find X10 series is expected to debut alongside ColorOS 17 and could include three models.

The standard Find X10 is tipped to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K display, an 8,000mAh battery and a dual 200MP rear camera setup comprising a primary sensor and periscope telephoto camera.

The Find X10 Pro and Find X10 Pro Max are expected to offer larger displays, with the Pro Max potentially featuring a screen of around 6.78 inches or larger. Both are also tipped to use the Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.

The flagship Find X10 Pro Max could take the camera specifications further with a triple 200MP setup, covering the main, ultrawide and telephoto cameras.

These Find X10 specifications remain based on leaks and reports, so the final hardware could differ. More details should be confirmed at Oppo's September 17 event.
