Coolpad Cool Changer S1 With Snapdragon 821 and Sony IMX298 Officially Launched
Another company joins the Snapdragon 821 bandwagon.
LeEco-owned Coolpad showed of its latest flagship called Cool Changer S1 at a news conference in China today.

Akin to most of the flagship smartphones these days, the Coolpad Cool Changer S1 comes in a sleek unibody design carved out of metal using an injection moulding process.

As far as the specs are concerned, the Cool Changer S1 has a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080p) display and comes equipped with a Snapdragon 821 chipset clocked at 2.35GHz. It comes in 3 storage options - 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB, and 6GB/128GB of storage space.

A 16MP Sony IMX298 sensor rests at the back along with an 8MP sensor at the front for selfies.
The smartphone has 2 large speakers designed by Harman Kardon (a widely know name in the audio gear department). What's more? The company is also bundling an AKG headset worth CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 9,780).

It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based EUI 5.8 and is backed by a 4,070mAh battery.
In terms of pricing the 4GB RAM, variant is priced at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 24,382) and the 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant priced at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs. 26,329). The high-end 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant is priced at CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs. 31,211).
The smartphone is already available for purchase in China. There's no word on global availability yet.
