First OnePlus Foldable Phone to Debut in August: Report
Prominent smartphone makers are eyeing the foldable market, with companies such as Samsung, Xiaomi, and Motorola making big strides in the foldable space. Now, OnePlus is also making its foray into the sector, and will reportedly launch its first foldable as early as August this year.
Back in February, it was reported that OnePlus is preparing to launch two new foldables, dubbed the "OnePlus V Fold" and the "OnePlus V Flip." The aforementioned monikers were spotted in regulatory filings registered by the smartphone maker.

OnePlus Foldable Launch Timeline Leaked
Past rumors indicated that the new OnePlus foldable smartphone could launch in the third quarter of 2023. Tipster Max Jambor suggests a narrower timeline, claiming that the foldable will debut in August.
The OnePlus foldable will be a bit late to the foldable party if it does launch in August, considering that the Pixel Fold may debut next week at Google I/O 2023. Additionally, Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 could launch a month before the OnePlus foldable.
The new foldable phones were earlier spotted on the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) website, labeled as the OnePlus V Fold and the OnePlus V Flip. The devices were also teased at the OnePlus Cloud 11 event back in February.
While OnePlus appears to have borrowed a page from Samsung's book when it comes to the naming convention, it's unclear whether the design has been inspired by the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5.
We'll have to wait for leaked renders to offer more details, unless OnePlus teases the device first. Some reports suggest that the foldable could debut in global markets as a rebranded version of the Oppo Find N2 5G.
As of now, there's no word on the specifications, features, or price range of the upcoming OnePlus foldable. We can expect more details to surface in the coming months, ahead of its purported August launch.
