Galaxy S23 Series to Get 2x Zoom in Portrait Mode in Next Update
Samsung is going to bring back the 2x portrait mode feature on the Galaxy S23 series through an upcoming software update. This decision comes after several users expressed their unhappiness over the feature being removed from Samsung flagship phones a couple of months ago.
This was revealed by a tipster on Weibo, even though there are no further details about what update this will be and when this update will be rolled out.

Samsung S23 Series to Get New Software Update: Details
According to the details revealed by the tipster, the Samsung S23 Ultra is also set to see its HDR-related issues getting resolved through the upcoming update. This change comes after several customers complained that the smartphone is unable to apply the best HDR when lights are dim, or photos are clicked indoors. The issue heightens when the light source is a part of the frame that the user is trying to capture.
Some reports claimed the issue occurred due to a combination of negative exposure value input frames which have identical contour patterns, on which local tone mapping is applied during HDR processing which causes the issue.
The company had acknowledged the issue and said it'll get fixed. As the May update didn't see any changes come through on this front, users can expect it to happen through the June one.
