Smartphone sales in India have risen over three-folds, according to a report by IDC. While the market share of feature phones continue to decline, and low-cost smartphones have seen a rapid increase in the demand.

In an attempt to capture the Indian market, the Chinese handset maker Gionee has unleashed a new smartphone dubbed as Pioneer P3S.

Gionee Pioneer P3S - Key Features

Gionee Pioneer P3S comes packed with 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3 GHz Quad processor clubbed with 1GB RAM, 16GB of inbuilt memory, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front snapper, Android 5.1 Lollipop on top of Amigo 3.1 UI and powered by a 2000mAh battery.

An 'extreme mode' on device is also said to enable the last 10 percent of battery power to potentially last for some more time. Gionee P3S is available in White, Grey, Red and Golden color for its Indian customers and is priced at Rs 5,999.

Mr.Timir Baran Acharya, GM, Gionee India said, "The latest offering Pioneer P3S is one of its kind device which packs stunning looks with powerful technology and is yet affordable. P3S ensures that consumers don't have to compromise on quality and features over pricing."

Now, the Gionee Pioneer P3S competes directly with other mobile in the same range like Lenovo A6000, Asus Zenfone C, Moto E 2, Micromax Canvas A1, Xiaomi Redmi 2 and others.
