Google Pixel 10 Full Specs Revealed: Bigger Battery, Telephoto Lens, and More

The Google Pixel 10 launch is just two months away, and recent reports suggest the phone may miss out on some key features while gaining a telephoto camera. Now, detailed specifications of the upcoming device have surfaced online. Let's take a closer look.

The latest information comes to light via Android Headlines, which has revealed the detailed features of the upcoming Pixel 10, confirming that the device will borrow several elements from the Pixel 9. However, it is also expected to bring notable upgrades, including a larger battery, a new processor, and faster charging capabilities.

Google Pixel 10 Detailed Features

The upcoming Google Pixel 10 is expected to retain the same 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate as its predecessor, the Pixel 9 (Review). It will also continue using Corning's Gorilla Glass Victus 2. However, display brightness is getting a significant boost this time. The high brightness mode will be increasing from 1800 nits to 2000 nits, while peak brightness will jump from 2700 nits to 3000 nits.

Under the hood, the Pixel 10 will be powered by the new Tensor G5 chip, built on TSMC's 3nm process, paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options of 128GB or 256GB. Moreover, the Pixel 10 will have a larger 4,970mAh battery, which is around 5% larger than its predecessor. Charging speeds are also improving, with 29W wired charging and 15W wireless charging via the Qi2 standard.

In terms of cameras, Google is reportedly adding a 10.8MP 5x telephoto lens, the same one found in the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. However, the primary and ultrawide sensors are reportedly being downsized. The main camera could use a 48MP 1/2.0-inch sensor (similar to the one in the Pixel 9a), and the ultrawide is expected to drop to 12MP, a significant downgrade from last year's 48MP ultrawide on the Pixel 9.

Even the Pixel 10 may lack a vapor chamber for cooling and will not support WiFi 7, a step back considering the Pixel 9 included it. As far as the launch is concerned, the Pixel 10 series is expected to go official on August 20, with sales expected to begin on August 28. The lineup will likely comprise four models: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
