The Google Pixel 10 series is expected to debut at the Made by Google event in August, with the lineup likely comprising four models: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Recent leaks suggest that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could be the first foldable smartphone to feature an IP68 rating. The same source now reveals that the standard Pixel 10 might lack some key features.

Pixel 10 May Lack Vapor Cooling and Other Essential Features

According to Android Headlines, the standard Google Pixel 10 will not feature a vapor chamber for cooling, which could impact both performance and heat management. While this isn't new for the standard model, as the Pixel 9 also lacked it.

The report further states that the Pixel 10 will not support Wi-Fi 7, which will be a downgrade from the Pixel 9 (Review), which does support. Additionally, the Pixel 10 is expected to miss out on Google's new "Ultra Res Zoom" and ultra-stable video recording, both of which are likely to be reserved for the Pro variants.

Despite missing out on certain features, the upcoming Pixel 10 is still expected to bring several notable upgrades. It will reportedly sport a redesigned triple rear camera setup, including a telephoto lens, along with matte-finished sides and a glossy back.

Under the hood, the device is likely to be powered by the new Tensor G5 chipset. As far as the launch is concerned, the Pixel 10 series is reportedly launching on August 20, with sales expected to begin on August 28.
