A recent durability test by JerryRigEverything revealed a shocking battery explosion in the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. This incident marks the first time Zack Nelson, the tester, has encountered such an event during his tests. The foldable device failed at the same weak point as its predecessors, highlighting Google's ongoing design issues.

During the bend test, which starts at 6:30 in Nelson's video, the device sustained severe damage when bent against its folding direction.

The IP68 rating claimed by Google for this device is questionable. While it might apply to the display, it doesn't seem to cover the hinge. Similar to other brands like Samsung and Honor, the hinge isn't dustproof. When exposed to dirt, users can hear a grinding noise from what is supposed to be a "dustproof" hinge.
