Google Pixel 10a Leak Reveals Familiar Design, Small Upgrades, and a 2026 Launch Window

Google’s next mid-range phone might be sticking to the formula it knows best. The Pixel 10a, expected to launch in early 2026, has reportedly surfaced in new renders, and if you were hoping for a design overhaul, that might not be happening just yet.

Google Pixel 10a Leak Shows Familiar Design, Slight Display Upgrade

A Familiar Face, Just a Bit More Refined

According to leaked renders shared by Android Headlines and tipster OnLeaks, the Pixel 10a looks almost identical to the Pixel 9a. It keeps the same flat plastic back, a flush dual-camera bar, and nearly the same 153.9 x 72.9 x 9mm dimensions. The 6.2-inch display from last year’s model is also returning.

The only noticeable tweaks seem to be slimmer bottom bezels and a slightly more compact overall profile. The usual setup remains in place: power and volume buttons on the right, antenna bands around the edges, and a hole-punch cutout for the front camera.

Same Processor, Slightly Boosted

Under the hood, the Pixel 10a is expected to use Google’s Tensor G4 chipset, the same processor that powered the Pixel 9a. However, reports suggest it’ll be a “boosted” version with slightly higher clock speeds.

Storage is expected to stay at UFS 3.1, and brightness may get a small bump to 2,200 nits, compared to the Pixel 9a’s 2,000 nits. The phone could also carry forward 7 years of software support, one of the biggest selling points of recent Pixel devices.

Cameras and Software: No Big Changes Yet

The camera setup reportedly remains unchanged, sticking with the dual rear lenses that served the Pixel 9a well. There’s no mention of new AI-powered tools like Magic Cue, which are exclusive to the higher-end Pixel 10 and 10 Pro models.

Given the focus on affordability, Google seems to be keeping the hardware simple while continuing to push updates and smart features through software.

Expected Pricing and Availability

The Pixel 10a is tipped to launch in Q1 2026, with pricing expected to start at around $499 (roughly ₹44,000) for the 128GB model — the same launch price as the Pixel 9a.
