Well, we can't blame them as the Google Pixel 2's camera has bagged whopping score of 98 out of 100 on DxOMark. Hence, it is safe to say, the newly launched flagship device from Google currently flaunts the best smartphone camera. What's more, it has dethroned the likes of Apple iPhone 8 Plus and Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to sit on the top of DxOMark chart. This is not an easy feat to achieve.

Now, that we are already aware how impressive Pixel 2's camera setup is, let's look at its camera samples. While the device is still to get released, Google itself has published a gallery of photos and videos captured by the Pixel 2.

The album was published on Google Photos recently by Isaac Reynolds, a product manager at Google's Camera department. The images make use of Google Photos' "original quality" uploading; something that the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL will have access to until 2020. However, the photos and videos are not edited as claimed by the Google employee.

Talking about the camera samples, we are really impressed with the quality of both the still images and videos. In fact if not better, the samples prove Pixel 2's camera is as good as it sounds on paper.

These pictures feature a number of various compositions such as landscapes, low-light shots, moving subjects, and the Pixel 2's new portrait shooting mode.

Moreover, there are a couple of side-by-side comparisons of Google's optical image stabilization and electronic image stabilization technologies.

So, if you want a phone that can capture DSLR-level photos and videos, Google Pixel 2 is your perfect choice. That being said, all these photos are intentionally taken in picturesque backgrounds to get the best results. Further, whoever has taken the images must be familiar with the techniques of photography.

Just to give you a heads up, you may not produce the same quality pictures using the Google Pixel 2 unless of course, you are a photographer yourself. Anyway, check out all the camera samples here.
