Google Pixel 9 Pro XL Full Specifications and Pricing Detailed Ahead of August 13 Launch Event

Google is launching the next generation of its Pixel smartphones next week. The series will include the Google Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold.

While Google is yet to confirm most details about the Pixel 9 series, a new leak gives us an in-depth look at the Pixel 9 Pro XL's specifications. To recall, the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be a bigger version of the Pixel 9 Pro.

Google Pixel 9 Pro XL Specifications Leaked

According to the leak, the Pixel 9 Pro XL will be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset paired with the Titan M2 dedicated security chip. We can expect the same chip combination on the three other phones in the Pixel 9 series as well. The Pixel 9 Pro XL base model is touted to come with 16GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The leak also suggests that the Pixel 9 Pro XL will sport a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1,344 x 2,992 pixel and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The panel will support an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and feature Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Up front, the Pixel 9 Pro XL will get a new 42MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

On the back, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is expected to feature a 50MP primary Samsung GNK 1/1.31" primary sensor with an f/1.7 aperture and OIS support. The main camera will be paired with a 48MP Sony IMX585 ultrawide shooter with an f/1.68 aperture and a 48MP periscope lens with an f/2.8 aperture and 5x optical zoom.

While no information was provided on battery capacity, previous reports suggest the battery capacity could be little over 5,000 mAh with 45W wired fast charging support. The Pixel 9 series will also support wireless and reverse wireless charging. The Pixel 9 Pro XL will also feature an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water.

Google Pixel 9 Pro XL Gemini AI Features

The phone will also include Gemini AI-powered features. The Pixel Studio will leverage AI to generate images, while the Reimagine feature will allow users to transform objects in photos-like turning a road into a river, as shown in a demo.

Additionally, an AI-powered Weather app will offer summaries and outfit suggestions, and the new Screenshot Search will enable users to locate specific screenshots in their image gallery using natural language prompts.

Google Pixel 9 Pro XL Launch: What to Expect?

The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is making its debut at Google's Pixel hardware event on August 13 at 10AM PT/ 01PM ET / 10:30PM IST. The event will be livestreamed on the company's YouTube channel.
