Nokia Lumia 1020-Inspired HMD Smartphone: What We Know
According to HMD News, Finnish OEM HMD (Human Mobile Devices) is developing a new smartphone that draws inspiration from the Nokia Lumia 1020, which debuted in 2013. The publication shared a design render of this upcoming handset, revealing a box-like structure similar to the HMD Skyline.
The leaked render shows that the rumoured phone will feature a centre-aligned circular rear camera module, unlike the rectangular camera island on the HMD Skyline. This circular module is reminiscent of the Nokia Lumia 1020 and includes five smaller slots likely intended for four cameras and one LED flash.
HMD Skyline and Atlas Leaked Design Details
The Nokia Lumia 1020 was well-regarded for its camera capabilities, featuring optical image stabilisation (OIS) and a 41-megapixel primary rear sensor. The upcoming Lumia 1020-inspired HMD handset may also focus heavily on camera performance.

The report suggests that this new device might be available in a bright yellow colour option similar to the original Nokia model. However, details about its name and other specifications remain undisclosed. More information about this anticipated handset is expected to emerge in the coming months.
In addition to these rumours, there have been leaks regarding other HMD devices such as the HMD Hyper. These leaks have revealed potential colour options and key features for these upcoming models.
As we await further details on these devices, it is clear that HMD continues to draw inspiration from classic Nokia designs while incorporating modern technology to appeal to contemporary users. The anticipation surrounding these new releases highlights the enduring legacy of Nokia's design philosophy and its influence on current smartphone trends.
