HMD Skyline 5G: Overview
The HMD Skyline is the brand's third smartphone in India this year, after the HMD Crest and Crest Max. The smartphone has a Nokia Lumia-like design and a 6.55-inch (1080 x 2400 pixels) FHD+ pOLED display that supports a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits brightness.
The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage which supports additional storage expansion of up to 1TB using a dedicated microSD card slot.
For imaging, there is a 108MP rear camera with OIS and EIS support, a 13MP Ultra-wide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera. Upfront, the HMD Skyline opts for a 50MP autofocus selfie camera. The handset gets a Custom Button, allowing users to set up personal shortcuts for quick access to their favourite apps. Running Android 14, the handset is also confirmed to receive two years of OS updates and three years of security patches.
Moreover, the HMD Skyline packs a 4600 mAh battery with 33W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. It includes a Gen2 repairability feature, allowing users to repair it with just one screw to pop open the back cover. Lastly, the HMD Skyline comes with a price tag of Rs 35,999 for the 12GB/256GB model.
