HMD Teases Arrival of the Skyline Smartphone in India; What to Expect?
HMD seems to be launching its Skyline smartphone soon in India, which was originally unveiled in July in the global market. The smartphone is the first high-end smartphone under its own brand name, which also retains a Nokia Lumia's Fabula design language.
Now, the brand took to its official X (formerly Twitter) handle to tease the arrival of the upcoming HMD Skyline. While the post doesn't mention the name of the device, it says "what it means to touch the sky," giving a hint of the launch of its Skyline smartphone.

HMD Skyline: What We Know So Far
As mentioned above, the HMD Skyline was launched back in July, which has a 6.55-inch P-OLED FHD+ screen with a 144Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor paired with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
For imaging, there is a 108MP main camera with OIS support, a 13MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP 2x telephoto sensor. Upfront, it gets a 50MP sensor with autofocus. The HMD Skyline also packs a 4,600mAh battery with 33W wired charging, 15W wireless charging, and 5W reverse wireless charging. On the software front, the phone runs Android 14 and is confirmed to receive two major OS upgrades.
Other features of the HMD Skyline include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, a microSD card slot for additional storage expansion, and an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance.
HMD Skyline: Expected India Launch
As of now, the brand has not shared any word regarding the launch timeline. We expect it will be confirmed soon. To recall, the smartphone was launched starting at $499 (around Rs 42,000). Given that, we expect the upcoming HMD Skyline will compete with other mid-range smartphones in the same segment.
