Honor 7A to go official on April 2
Honor 7A invites are out suggesting that the smartphone could be unveiled on April 2.
Earlier this month, Huawei's sub-brand Honor unveiled the Honor 7C smartphone in China. Now, the company has started sending out media invites for what appears to be the launch of the Honor 7A. The launch event is slated to happen on April 2. From the invite, we get to know that the smartphone will have a dual-camera setup.
We saw the Honor 7A receive the TENAA certification in China with the model numbers AUM-TL00 and AUM-TL20. The TENAA certification database revealed that the smartphone could be announced with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC and feature a 5.7-inch FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio.
When it comes to the specifications, the Honor 7A could be unveiled with a 5.7-inch FullView 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. At its heart, the smartphone is said to arrive with a 1.4GHz octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU. The smartphone is believed to be announced in two variants - 2GB RAM and 16GB storage space and 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space. Both these variants are said to support expandable storage space up to 256GB with a microSD card.
The Honor 7A is likely to be unveiled with Android 8.0 Oreo topped with the company's EMUI 8.0. The smartphone could arrive with a 13MP+2MP dual-camera setup at its rear with f/2.2 aperture and an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. There could be a fingerprint sensor at its rear, 4G VoLTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, a 3.5mm audio jack and a 3000mAh battery.
The Honor 7A is expected to flaunt a metal build and arrive in three color options such as Gold, Blue and Black. We can expect it to be cheaper than the recently launched Honor 7C. We can get to know the complete details about the Honor 7A early next week as the smartphone will be unveiled on April 2.
