Honor 7X manufacturing debuts in India
Honor 7X is now made in India.
Huawei has started manufacturing its bestselling budget smartphone, the Honor 7X in India in partnership with Flex India. This move of manufacturing the smartphone at the manufacturing unit of Flex India is a step in the direction of expanding its product range in the country. Already, Huawei had teamed up with Flex India in September 2016 for the making of the Holly 3 smartphone in the country under the 'Make in India' initiative located at Sriperumbudur near Chennai.
Back in the last year, the company expanded the 'Make in India' initiative with the Honor 6X. Now, it has debuted with the assembling of the Honor 7X as well. The Sriperumbudur unit operates in three shifts and has been assembling the Honor 7X since mid-January.
Undoubtedly, Honor is continuously strengthening its base in the country by investing in research and development. The company is also setting up a manufacturing facility for the operations in the country, states P Sanjeev, the Vice President of Sales at Huawei Consumer Business Group. He further adds that the company is focused to move forward with consistent investments towards consumer-centric smartphones such as the Honor 7X.
Honor's commitment towards growth in the Indian market is clear as the company has been introducing some of the best products in the country prior to the global launches. Also, it has expanded its service network with new service centers in the prime metro cities across the country.
Talking about the Honor 7X, the smartphone is priced affordably and is facing a huge demand among buyers. The device was launched in India in December 2017 in two variants. The base variant comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space and is priced at Rs. 12,999 and the high-end variant has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage space and is priced at Rs. 15,999.
Apart from the affordable pricing, the Honor 7X comes with a good battery backup with its 3340mAh battery, a nice and sleek design with a metal body and 2.5D glass fitted into an aluminum chassis. The Honor 7X has a full-screen design language with a tall display featuring 18:9 aspect ratio that gives it a premium feel despite its reasonable price point. Also, the company has fitted two cameras at the rear of the smartphone making it excel in the photography segment as well.
