Huawei Honor 7X named bestseller on Amazon in select markets
Huawei Honor 7X the recently launched mid-range flagship is yet again creating a buzz in markets all around the globe.
Honor 7X the recently launched mid-range flagship is yet again creating a buzz in markets all around the globe. As such, Huawei released the smartphone couple of days back in the U.S. and now it has found itself at the top of Amazon's bestsellers list. Honor has also made the announcement in a press release stating that the 7X and View10 were "off to a successful start in the US."
"We are immensely excited about the achievements made by Honor 7X (review) and Honor View 10. Last December, we announced our global growth strategy that aims to make Honor a top-three smartphone brand worldwide in five years. We are now one step closer toward our goal," said George Zhao, Global President, Honor.
However, now that the handset has appeared on Amazon's bestseller lists it is basically an indication of how well the product is selling. While the list is updated every hour, Honor 7X currently ranks at the top in "unlocked cell phones" section reports Android Authority.
Interestingly, this news comes at a time when Huawei has been facing issues with U.S. lawmakers who are urging U.S. firms and carriers (AT&T) to cut commercial ties with the Chinese phone maker because of national security concerns. Besides the U.S. government has also blocked a string of Chinese acquisitions over national security concerns, including Ant Financial's proposed purchase of U.S. money transfer company MoneyGram International Inc.
Meanwhile, Honor has stated that it vows to "continue to bring outstanding technologies, user experience, and value to consumers in the U.S." Huawei will be focused to do the same with or without carrier support.
Coming back to Huawei Honor 7X, the device was launched on January 22 in the U.S. with a price tag of $199.99 (roughly Rs. 12,653, going by conversion rates). The smartphone is a good deal for consumers and it does come with nifty and interesting features as well as specs.
Honor 7X Features and Specs
The phone comes with a 5.93-inch full-screen display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The smartphone is powered by 1.7GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The handset offers 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card. Moving on, Honor 7X sports a 16MP + 2MP primary camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies. The device runs on Android 7.0 and is powered by a 3340mAh nonremovable battery.
The dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone offers connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on board include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. It measures 156.50 x 75.30 x 7.60 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 165.00 grams.
India Scene
Honor 7X price in India starts from Rs. 12,999. The smartphone also received a great response in India. In fact, it was so overwhelming that Honor was forced to opt for the open-sale model for the device so that users could get their hands on the device. "With the launch of the Honor 7X, we have created a milestone for the competition in the budget category," P Sanjeev, Vice President, Sales, Huawei India-Consumer Business Group said earlier.
