Honor 9 Lite sold out in minutes in two sales; next sale on January 23

The massive demand for the Honor 9 Lite is justifiable as the device features four cameras and other goodies within a budget.


Honor 9 Lite was launched in India in the last week at a price point of Rs. 10,999 for the 32GB variant and Rs. 14,999 for the 64GB variant. The device went on sale starting from the midnight of January 21 via the online retailer Flipkart and the official Huawei online store. Given that the smartphone has four cameras and other goodies packed within a budget, it is not surprising to know that there is a huge demand for it among buyers.

Honor 9 Lite is claimed to have gone out of stock in just six minutes selling around 150 units per second on the first day of sale. The next sale happened on January 21 at 12 PM and again the device is claimed to have been sold out in three minutes.

Given that there is a surging demand for the smartphone with quad cameras, the company has revealed that Flipkart will get more stocks of the smartphone to quench the need of buyers. The company will host the third sale of the Honor 9 Lite on Flipkart at 12 PM on January 23. As a part of the Republic Day Sale, Flipkart is giving 10% cashback on the Citibank credit and debit card transactions. The retailer is also providing Rs. 7,000 buyback guarantee on the Honor 9 Lite.

Detailing on its specifications, the Honor 9 Lite arrives with a 5.65-inch FHD+ IPS display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under its hood, the smartphone makes use of an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset teamed up with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage space. There is a dual camera setup comprising of 13MP+2MP sensors on both sides of the smartphone. The dual cameras at the rear have PDAF and LED flash too.


On the connectivity front, the Honor smartphone has standard aspects such as 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm audio jack, OTG support, dual-SIM, Bluetooth, GPS and a micro USB port. The other goodies on board include a 3000mAh battery touted to deliver up to 24 days of standby time and Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box.
