Honor is set to take the fight to Samsung with the unveiling of a new foldable smartphone, which comes on the back of the Galaxy Z Fold 6's launch. The Honor Magic V3 features flagship specifications.

The Honor Magic V3 now measures just 9.2mm thick when folded and 4.35mm thick when unfolded. Honor achieves this through an upgraded hinge mechanism, which is now just 2.84mm thick. The Honor Magic V3 is also rated for 500,000 folds and unfolds. Honor's latest foldable smartphone's frame is made from 7-series aluminum alloy.
The Honor Magic V3 also weighs just 226 grams, making it lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro. The Honor Magic V3 also features an IPX8 rating for resistance to water. The Honor Magic V3 comes in Silk Road Dunhuang, Qilian Snow, Tundra Green, and Velvet Black shades.
Honor Magic V3 Specifications
The Honor Magic V3 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Magic V3 runs Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0. The Honor Magic V3 packs a 5,150 mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.
The Honor Magic V3 sports a 7.92-inch LPTO OLED inner display with a resolution of 2344 x 2156 pixels. The screen boasts an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate (1Hz - 120Hz) and a PWM dimming of 3840Hz. The display also comes with stylus support. The Magic V3 also boasts a 6.43-inch LTPO cover OLED display with a resolution of 2376 x 1060 pixels.
The panel also features an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate (1Hz - 120Hz) and 4320Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The cover display can achieve a peak brightness of 5,000 nits. The outer display supports HDR10+, although the main screen supports both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision.

Honor Magic V3 Cameras
For optics, the Honor Magic V3 features a triple-camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor with OIS, an f/1.6 aperture, and a large 1/1.56 sensor size. The main camera is paired with a 40 MP ultrawide lens with a 112° ultra-wide viewing angle and an f/2.2 aperture.
The setup is completed with a 50 MP periscope lens with an f/3.0 aperture, OIS support, 3.5x optical zoom, and a 1/2.51-inch sensor size. The Honor Magic V3 also has two 20 MP selfie cameras on both the cover and internal displays. 4K video recording is available on both the front and rear cameras.
Honor Magic V3 Pricing
The Honor Magic V3 price in China starts from CNY 8,999 (roughly Rs 1,03,650) for the base 12GB/256GB model. Additionally, the Honor Magic V3 also comes in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations that costs CNY 9,999 (roughly Rs 1,15,150) and CNY 10,999 (roughly Rs 1,26,700), respectively. The Honor Magic V3 will go on sale in China from July 19, although there's no word about its international availability.
