Honor X9b or Magic 6 Lite 5G Launch in India Confirmed: Madhav Sheth Teases its Durability

Honor is gearing up a new smartphone series in India soon. To recall, the Honor 90 5G launch back in September 2023 marked the brand's return to the Indian market.

Honor doesn't reveal the name of the handset in question, although Madhav Sheth, CEO, HTECH, recently showcased a handset that looks like the Honor X9b undergoing a series of drop tests.

Honor X Series Smartphone Launching in India Soon

The video shows the Honor X9b being dropped from waist, shoulder, and above the head (eight feet) heights. This doesn't come as a surprise as a similar drop test tactic has been used in other markets where the Honor X9b is already released.

To recall, the Honor X9b was unveiled in China back in October 2023. The Honor X9b has also been unveiled in other markets as the Honor Magic 6 Lite. More recently, Honor launched its Magic 6 series in China. So let's take a look at the Honor Magic 6 Lite 5G.

Honor Magic 6 Lite 5G Specifications

The Honor Magic 6 Lite 5G is powered by the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset with the Adreno A710 GPU. The chip is paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, although there's no SD card slot for expansion. The Honor Magic 6 Lite runs Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2.

Honor's latest mid-range smartphone boasts a 6.78-inch Curved AMOLED panel with a 1.5K resolution (1200 x 2652 pixels). The panel gets a 120Hz refresh rate, a pixel density of 429 PPI, and 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut coverage. It also features 1920Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The Honor Magic 6 Lite 5G packs a 5,300 mAh battery with 35W fast charging support.

For optics, the Honor's latest mid-range smartphone boasts a 108 MP primary sensor, a 5 MP ultrawide lens, and a 2 MP macro unit. Up front, the Honor Magic 6 Lite 5G boasts a 16 MP selfie camera with an f/2.45 aperture. The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint reader and stereo speakers with DTS audio support.
