How expensive are the new Apple iPhones in India compared to the U.S. pricing?

In India, the smartphone comes at a price of Rs. 73,000, which comes up to approximately $1,139, and it is 43 percent more than in the U.S. The 256GB storage variant of the iPhone 8 stands at $949 in the U.S. while in India the smartphone is priced at Rs. 86,000, which is approximately $1,341 and around 41 percent higher than the U.S. price.

The iPhone 8 series will be up for pre-orders in India starting September 22 and will be launched in India on September 29.

And finally the flagship iPhone X, the 64GB variant of this smartphone is priced at $999 in the U.S. In India, the handset is priced at Rs. 89,000 which is approximately $1,388 and around 39 percent more than the U.S. pricing. As for the 256GB storage variant, the handset is priced at $1,149 and Rs. 1,02,000, in India. The price is 39 percent higher than the US again.

The pre-orders for iPhone X will start on October 27, and shipping will begin on November 3.
