Xiaomi Mi Exchange program comes to Mi.com: How does it work

In November last year, Xiaomi India teamed up with Cashify in order to bring the Mi Exchange Program to the Mi Home offline stores. Now, the company has expanded the program to the Mi.com online store as well. With this option, you can exchange your old smartphone to get an exchange coupon valid on Mi.com to buy a new Xiaomi smartphone.

Xiaomi states that if the old smartphone, which you are trying to exchange is not eligible for the exchange, then your order will be canceled and the amount will be refunded. You can take a look at the exchange rate for your old phone on Mi.com before actually exchanging it to know if you are getting the best value for it.

How to use Mi Exchange program on Mi.com

• Step 1: Open the Mi Exchange page by visiting mi.com/in/miexchange.
• Step 2: Choose the device from the list of eligible devices from 15 brands. The old smartphone you are exchanging should not have cracks and dents in the body and cracks on the display.
• Step 3: You will get the estimated price of it.
• Step 4: You need to input the IMEI number of the old smartphone.
• Step 5: Then, accept the terms and conditions and hit the option 'Get exchange option'.
• Step 6: Now, your Mi account will be credited with the exchange value coupon, which can be used while purchasing a new smartphone on Mi.com.
• Step 7: You need to give your old phone when your new Xiaomi smartphone is shipped to you.

Notably, if you have a dual SIM smartphone, you need to provide either the IMEI 1 or IMEI 2 while you try to exchange your old phone on the online store of Xiaomi. In addition to ensuring if the smartphone you are exchanging does not have any cracks or dents, you need to make sure that you disable the screen locks and have ready to be given away at the time of delivery of the new smartphone.
