HTC U11 EYEs launched with dual selfie cameras, 6-inch display
With the launch of U11 EYEs, HTC has again entered the dual camera smartphone market.
As expected, HTC has announced the launch of the new new U11 EYEs smartphone in Taiwan and China. The key highlights of smartphone are the front dual cameras and the larger than usual 3,930mAh battery. The HTC U11 EYEs is priced at CNY 3,299 (approximately Rs. 32,500) and it will go on sale at 10 AM on January 25. However, the pre-orders has already started. In contrary to the speculations, the smartphone is offered in Black, Red and Silver colors.

That being said, the speculations were bang on with the specifications and features of the smartphone. Being a mid-range phone, it comes with pretty decent specs. It is also worth mentioning that, as promised, HTC has again entered the dual camera smartphone market with the launch of U11 EYEs. As stated before, the smartphone boasts of a dual camera setup at the front.
Display and Cameras
The HTC U11 EYEs is fitted with a 6.0-inch Super LCD3 display that delivers a FHD+ resolution of 1080×2160 pixels. Featuring the aspect ratio of 18:9, the display is covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection.
On the optics front, the smartphone sports a 12MP UltraPixel rear sensor with features including phase detection autofocus (PDAF), OIS, f/1.7 aperture, and dual-tone dual-LED flash. Up front, there is a 5MP sensor, with HDR enhancement, an f/2.2 aperture, and Bokeh effect, for selfies and video calling.

Under the hood
The HTC U11 EYEs is driven by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The storage department of the smartphone is quite impressive as it offers 64GB native storage capacity. The storage space is further expandable up to 2TB using a microSD card.
One of the main USPs of the U11 EYEs is its 3,930mAh battery that comes with support for Quick Charge 3.0.
Software and Connectivity
The HTC U11 EYEs is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone that runs on Android 7.1 Nougat based HTC Sense UI.
Connectivity-wise, the smartphone offers features such as 4G, GPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C port, and NFC.
Sensors onboard include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, face recognition sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, distance sensor, magnetic sensor.
The handset also carries the IP67 certification for dust and water resistance.
