Huawei Mate 10 to come pre-installed with EMUI 6 based on Android Oreo
The Huawei Mate 10 will launch on October 16.
Google recently launched the final version of Android 8.0 Oreo. During the launch, the search giant announced that Huawei will be the first manufacturer to use Android O on its smartphone.

Since Huawei Mate 10 is the next flagship from the company, it is safe to say the device will come pre-installed with Android O operating system. In addition, the Android O on Huawei Mate 10 is expected to be layered with the custom EMUI 6.0 on top. Well, a Chinese publication anzhuo.cn has even posted a screenshot of a phone running on EMUI 6.0 closed beta program.

You might be wondering how do we know the screenshot is of the Huawei Mate 10? Well, last year's EMUI 5.0 made its debut on Huawei Mate 9. So it does make sense, the EMUI 6.0 will be first rolled out to Huawei's flagship smartphone.
The screenshot reveals that closed beta testing for the EMUI 6.0 has started, but it will take some before the operating system is perfected. We have some more than month's time in our hands though. Huawei has already confirmed that the Mate 10 will be unveiled on October 16. Google's Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, on the other hand, are rumored to launch on October 5.
After its launch, the company will then reveal the name of other Huawei smartphones that will be updated to Android 8.0 Oreo based EMUI 6.0. Just to remind you, the EMUI 6.0 will bring along with it the new features of Android O; picture-in-picture mode, auto-fill, split screen, improved battery life etc.
