The Huawei Mate 8 flagship phablet will go on sale in China from Wednesday, 9th December.The Huawei Mate 8 was launched in China last month. It has a 6" full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The Phablet also has an Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Emotion UI 4.0. The Mate 8 has two Nano-SIM card slots. The second SIM-slot doubles up as a micro SD card slot. The phablet has a metallic body.
The phablet has a 16MP rear camera powered by Sony IMX298 sensor with OIS. It also has a front-facing 8MP camera with Sony IMX179 sensor. Here, the front and the rear cameras are both powered by two different sensors from Sony.
The phablet has a octa-core Hi-Silicon Kirin 950 processor, clubbed with Mali-T880MP4 GPU clocked at 900Mhz.The Huawei Mate 8 is backed by a 4000mAh battery. It has some regular connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11,Micro-USB 2.0, GPS, DLNA, Bluetooth, 4G LTE and NFC. The phablet has a circular fingerprint sensor is placed below the rear camera of the Mate 8.
The pricing and availability of the devices has come from Huawei's smartphone division. The handset is priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 31,200) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage option, while the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model is priced at CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 38,500), and the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at CNY 4,399 (roughly Rs. 45,800) . The Mate 8 Champagne Edition will cost CNY 6,888 (roughly Rs. 71,700).
The global availability and pricing details of the Huawei Mate 8 are likely to be announced during CES 2016 held in January.
