Huawei P40 To Feature Advanced Horizon Display: Slated For March 2020

|

The first official-looking render of the upcoming flagship smartphone -- the Huawei P40 has hit the web. We are still months from the official announcement and the company is likely to launch this phone by the end of Q1 2020.

According to the leak, the Huawei P40 will come with a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with either FHD+ or QHD resolution screen called the Advanced Horizon Display, probably with dual-curved design. The screen will offer some of the premium features likes HDR+, DCI-P3 color space support. It is also expected to have a dual punch-hole cutout, similar to the Galaxy S10+ to house the dual selfie cameras.

The render also confirms that the cameras on the Huawei P40 will be co-engineered by Leica, which is nothing less than what we can expect from a Huawei flagship smartphone. The smartphone is most likely to be powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 990 SoC with at least 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Depending on the market, Huawei will either launch a 4G or the 5G variant of the Huawei P40. And these models are expected to have a price difference of $150 to $200. An earlier report did suggest that the Huawei P40 might also be the first smartphone from the brand to ship with a graphene battery with 5,500 mAh capacity and quick charging support.

Expected Launch

Considering Huawei's product cycle, the brand is most likely to launch the Huawei P40 and the Huawei P40 Pro by the end of March 2020. However, as the company didn't launch the Huawei Mate 30 or the Mate 30 Pro in India due to the GPS (Google Play Services) issue, we are uncertain about the launch of the Huawei P40 series in India, which is expected to be one of the best camera smartphones of 2020.
