Infinix GT 20 Pro Launch in India Confirmed: Official Date to be Unveiled on May 6

Infinix is gearing up to unviel a new smartphone in India soon. The Infinix GT 20 Pro recently made its global debut, although details about availability were still under wraps, until now.

Infinix recently teased the launch of the GT 20 Pro in India, confirming that it would be coming soon. To recall, the company unveiled the Infinix GT 10 Pro in India last year, with a primary focus on gaming aesthetics and performance. And things are going to be any different with the GT 20 Pro.

Infinix GT 20 Pro India Launch Confirmed

While no official launch date for the Infinix GT 20 Pro has been decided, we believe the handset will arrive sometime this month. Infinix has also set up a dedicated microsite for the GT 20 Pro in India, which reveals the official launch date will be announced on May 6.

We believe the Infinix GT 20 Pro price in India could start from under Rs 25,000. The Infinix GT 10 Pro is currently listed at Rs 24,999 on Flipkart, although the phone was initially released for Rs 19,999.

Infinix GT 20 Pro Specifications

The Infinix GT 20 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200-Ultra SoC paired with the Mali-G610 GPU. The handset comes with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The phone also comes with the Pixelworks X5 Turbo Gaming Display chip that uses MEMC and Game Optical Optimization technology to achieve 120fps in games. The Infinix GT 20 Pro also comes with a 78% larger VC cooling area than its predecessor.

The device runs Android 14 with a bloat-free version of XOS 14 on top. Infinix promises two major Android OS updates and three years of software updates with the GT 20 Pro. The handset sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. The panel boasts a 144Hz refresh rate, a 360Hz touch sampling rate, and 2304Hz PWM dimming.

For optics, the Infinix GT 20 Pro features a 108 MP Samsung HM6 sensor with OIS support, a 2 MP depth sensor, and a 2 MP macro unit. Up front, there's a 32 MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The handset also packs a 5,000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. Lastly, the GT 20 Pro also features stereo speakers tuned by JBL.
