iPhone 15 CAD Renders Reveal USB-C Port and Dynamic Island
Although there's still a lot of time until the iPhone 15 announcement, there's no dearth of rumors and leaks surrounding the upcoming Apple device. According to a new report, new CAD renders of the iPhone 15 have leaked, offering a look at the design.
Graphic designer Ian Zelbo collaborated with 9To5Mac to transform the 3D CAD files into images. The renders reveal a lot about the iPhone 15, including the presence of a USB Type-C port and, a Dynamic Island. Here's everything we know about the device so far:

iPhone 15 to Feature Dynamic Island
The latest renders indicate that Apple will replace the notch with a Dynamic Island on the iPhone 15. This feature was first seen on the iPhone 14 Pro, which debuted last year.
Dynamic Island is an oval cutout at the top of the display that houses the Face ID sensors and front camera. The report states that all four iPhone 15 models might get the feature, unlike previously, when it was restricted to the iPhone 14 Pro.
USB-C Port Finally Coming to iPhone 15
As per the renders, another notable change is the inclusion of a USB Type-C port. Users have been clamoring for this feature for a while now since a USB-C port is more convenient than Apple's proprietary Lightning connector. It also supports faster data transfer and charging.

Apple has been including the USB-C port for its MacBooks and iPads, but it has been reluctant for its iPhones. The company was likely pushed to comply with the EU’s regulation that requires all smartphones to have the USB-C as a universal charging standard.
Slightly Larger Display for the iPhone 15
According to the CAD files, the iPhone 15 will have a 6.2-inch display, which is slightly bigger than the base iPhone 14 model. However, there's no word on the exact resolution and refresh rate of the display.
As for the hardware, the iPhone 15 may not get capacitive buttons but will continue to sport physical buttons like previous base models. Only the iPhone 15 Pro will feature capacitive buttons.
