iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone Fold Specs Tipped Ahead Of Launch: 2nm A20 Pro Chip, C2 Modem, More
A new tip from Debayan Roy (@Gadgetsdata) sheds more light on Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, while also bringing Apple’s foldable iPhone back into the conversation.

Camera Upgrades Could Be A Key Focus
According to the tip, the iPhone 18 Pro may feature a 48MP main camera with variable aperture, which means the lens can adjust how much light enters depending on the scene. This could help in low light by letting in more light, while also reducing overexposure in bright conditions.
There’s also mention of a 48MP periscope telephoto camera, possibly paired with a larger aperture. If that holds, it could improve low-light zoom performance and overall image clarity at longer focal lengths.
On the front, the camera could move to 24MP, suggesting Apple may be planning a noticeable bump for selfies and video calls.
Chip, Modem, and Battery Details
The leak also points to a 2nm A20 Pro chip, along with a new C2 modem. While performance numbers aren’t mentioned, the shift to 2nm typically signals a focus on both efficiency and power gains.
Battery is another area that stands out. The iPhone 18 Pro is tipped to feature a battery capacity above 5000mAh, which would mark a step up compared to current models.
The device could also support 5G via satellite, expanding connectivity in areas where traditional networks may struggle.
Design May Not Change Much
In terms of design, the leak suggests Apple isn’t making major changes this time. The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to retain the Dynamic Island and a similar overall camera layout, with new color options likely being the more visible update.
It also notes that LTPO+ may not be part of the package, despite earlier speculation.
Foldable iPhone Mentioned Again
Alongside the Pro model, the tip briefly outlines Apple’s foldable iPhone.
It’s described as a book-style foldable with a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch inner screen. The device could feature a liquid metal hinge and a near crease-free display, along with a slim 4.5mm profile when unfolded.
The foldable model is also expected to use the same A20 Pro chip and C2 modem, with Touch ID instead of Face ID.
Expected Timeline
The leak points to a launch around September, which aligns with Apple’s usual iPhone release cycle.
