iPhone 8 UI concept shows new ‘HomeBar’, Always-on Display
The iPhone 8 is shown to feature the Always-on Display.
So far we have seen many designers creating the concept model of the iPhone 8. A lot has been spoken about the hardware aspect of the upcoming smartphone as well.
Now, renowned designer John Calkins has published the concept iPhone 8 UI on Behance. He has made the concept based on all the speculations. We recently came to know that the virtual Home button on the iPhone 8 could be re-sizable with a "function" area around it. As you can see from the image above the virtual Home button is shown to be quite large.
There are also apps opening up above the "HomeBar" that is present on the home screen. Thankfully, the "HomeBar" will disappear automatically when you will play a game or watch videos.
However, users wouldn't be able to change its color or shade. Presumably, the presence of a navigation strip at the iPhone 8's bottom could be a reason behind this.
As of now, the exact functionality of the "HomeBar" is not known. It just mentions, "With the new HomeBar, you can launch notifications, swipe through widgets and shortcuts, and go back home."
Other than that, the iPhone 8 is shown to feature the Always-on Display. The smartphone will also offer Smarter notification to users. According to what is mentioned, the recent notifications will be grouped by app and load from the bottom. So that get all the notifications on time.
Well, from the looks of it, the new UI is quite different from what we usually see. Another thing worth pointing out is that the website calls iPhone 8 as iPhone Pro. If you remember, a couple of months back a report came up suggesting the 10th anniversary iPhone model will be named iPhone Pro.
Anyway, we must not forget the fact that it is just a concept design. So you are ought to take it with a pinch of salt or two.
