iQOO 12 Series Full Specifications Confirmed ahead of November 7 Launch

The iQOO 12 series is set to make its debut next week as the second smartphone to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Ahead of the launch, iQOO has been slowing teasing details about its upcoming flagship series.

The line-up will include the iQOO 12 5G and iQOO 12 Pro 5G. Now, iQOO has confirmed a few more details about the 'Pro' model. But first, let's look at the iQOO 12 series launch date.

The iQOO 12 series launch date in China is set for November 7 at 07:00 pm local time or 04:30 pm IST. Moreover, the iQOO 12 5G is also launching in India on December 12 as the first smartphone to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in the country.

iQOO has already taken to its website to confirm several details about the iQOO 12 series. The brand has confirmed that the iQOO 12 Pro will sport a 2K Samsung E7 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The iQOO 12 series will also come with an improved speaker system with Hi-Res Audio support.

Moreover, the iQOO 12 series has also been confirmed to feature an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. However, it is unclear whether the IP68 rating will be offered on both the 'Pro' and 'vanilla' models. The website also confirms that the iQOO 12 series will support 120W wired fast charging, although we expect the 'Pro' variant to support wireless charging as well.

While battery capacity is yet to be confirmed, rumors suggest the iQOO 12 Pro will pack a 5,100 mAh battery. The iQOO 12 series will also be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.

Additionally, the iQOO 12 series will also use a dedicated Q1 e-sports chip that is engineered to boost gaming performance. iQOO has also increased the size of the vapor chamber by 40% with a new 6K "large-area VC vapor chamber" (Google Translated). It will also use iQOO's largest vibration motor to date.

iQOO also confirmed key camera specs of the 12 series. The iQOO 12 series will feature a 50 MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide camera sensor and a 64 MP telephoto-periscope lens. While iQOO didn't confirm the sensor used for the main camera, the website does note that it will feature a 1/1.3-inch sensor size, further strengthening rumors it will be a 50 MP OmniVision OV50H sensor.
